McBrinn, Grey Coast Theatre returns with a bold a lyrical contemporary drama about life in the North of Scotland. A massive nuclear complex dominates the Caithness coast. The small town of Bunillidh has lived with its secretive neighbour for over fifty years, changing in order to survive. ATOMIC CITY charts that change and survival. How does a small rural Highland community cope with heavy industry and the influx of a large workforce? Does progress actually destroy the community it purports to revitalise? The five characters wrestle with this predicament every day of their lives. From a cattle town to an atomic town, Bunillish has become Atomic City - but the barley still grows in the fields and the fish still swim in the sea. 30 September & 1 October
